Charity Store sells donated building materials to raise funds for social housing programs
A charity store named “ReStore” in northwest Adelaide is the first shop in South Australia that sells donated building materials to raise funds for their NFP programs to build homes for the disadvantaged.
Till To date, the nfp organisation – Habitat for Humanity has successfully built 40 homes for South Australians struggling with shelter. Even the store customers feel good about their purchases as they know their money is going for a good cause.
The shop is also trying to become a hub for recycling where hard rubbish can come back to its place instead of going to a landfill. “Why would we put something out into the dump if we can actually use it and put it to good use?”
